Thank you for your interest in partnering with the City of Charlotte’s Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP). MYEP connects Charlotte youth ages 16–18 with meaningful summer work experiences that build career awareness, workplace readiness skills, and exposure to professional environments across the city.
The 2026 MYEP program will take place June 22, 2026 – July 31, 2026. During this time, selected youth will participate in paid internships with host employers across a variety of industries including business, nonprofit, government, healthcare, technology, skilled trades, and more.
Host employers play a vital role in providing mentorship, supervision, and hands-on learning opportunities that help youth explore career pathways and develop essential workforce skills.
