Tree by Tree Competition Signup

Sign up for Charlotte's first Tree by Tree mapping competition! You can compete individually or as a team (up to four people). Be the one to map the most trees in a week and you'll earn bragging rights, and maybe even some cool prizes!

Competition Rules

Build Your Tree Team - Gather up to four awesome friends and come up with a fun team name. The more creative the better! Teams comprising one person are welcome; however, the more people on your team (up to four), the more trees you can map and the more points you can earn.
Identify a Team Leader - Pick one person as the team leader and have that person fill out this form. This should also be the person who creates your team's online account.
Plant Your Team Online - Create account on Tree by Tree. Your username should be the team name you enter on this form, and the email address should be the same one you entered here as well.
Go Tree Hunting - Use Tree by Tree to map the trees you find around you. Great spots include your own yard, greenways, parks or other green spaces. Download and print this guide to entering trees [LINK TO COME].
Be a Respectful Explorer - Please don't enter private property without permission. Let's keep everyone happy!
Skip the Street Trees - For this challenge, please don't map trees along streets. There are plenty of other leafy friends to discover.
One Tree = One Dot - If you see a dot already on the map, it means that tree has already been mapped. Give it a high-five and find a new tree instead.

Scoring

Each tree you map is worth 100 points, whether you map individually or as a team. So recruit some friends and explore!

Safety first! If you map alone, consider taking a friend along for safety.

Leaderboard UpdatesWe'll send you updates throughout the week so you can see where your team stands as you climb to the top of the leaderboard!
