The purpose of this form is to request a Rezoning Pre-Submittal Meeting prior to submitting a Rezoning Petition, required by the City of Charlotte Zoning Ordinance. Do not complete this form if you have general questions about a piece of property or area.
Applicants are encouraged to provide as much information as possible in the pre-submittal form so staff can prepare for the meeting accordingly. However, please note that all information submitted in the form is public record. Only submit one Meeting Request per site.
Charlotte Explorer is an online mapping tool that may assist you in answering some of the questions below. Once you Open the Online Map, on the right hand side of the screen click on 'Planning' to open additional layers.
If the site plan and/or request reviewed in the pre-submittal meeting changes significantly before the rezoning application submittal, the pre-submittal meeting is no longer valid and the applicant must schedule a new pre-submittal meeting.
A pre-submittal meeting must have occurred within six months of the rezoning application filing date. If it has been more than six months since the rezoning pre-submittal meeting, a new pre-submittal meeting is required.
Meetings are scheduled on a first come first served basis. Due to the high volume of rezoning petitions, meeting dates may not be available for three to four weeks.
If you have any questions please call 704-336-2205 during regular business hours.
