What does it mean to be a bridge-builder?  A bridge-builder is someone who establishes relationships, improves communication and helps to build trust amongst varying groups.  In this training we will be joined by Janeen Bryant, a thought leader in the areas of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA)  who will help us better understand how to be a bridge-builder in our community. This training  will focus on how to: 

• Understand your neighborhood in context using city and county data
• Map resources and people
• Build and heighten awareness of the neighborhood as an ecosystem of shared resources 
• Strengthen your relationships and connection to the City of Charlotte and to your neighborhood
• Heighten your capacity to lead/discuss across difference and understand self-interest
