Placemaking Grant Application

Please read the City of Charlotte’s Placemaking Grant Application Guide before completing this application. Please complete this application in full and provide the required attachments by Friday, March 7, 2025, at 5 p.m. EST. Applicants will be notified no later than April 14, 2025.

Placemaking Project Grant

Letter of support from the neighborhood association or equivalent community organization where your grant project is located.

A satellite photo (Google Maps, etc.) outlining the property boundaries of where your project is proposed.
Images of similar projects or preliminary sketches of your idea.

If your application is chosen, the City of Charlotte staff looks forward to assisting you in completing your Placemaking Grant project. Please note that receiving grant funding does not constitute city approval of your project – staff will assist grantees in obtaining all required permits and permissions when the time comes. It is important that as the applicant you and your team are engaged in the process outlined in the Placemaking Grant Application Guide to ensure a successful project.
