The fourth annual Urban Design Awards, or “Urbies,” presented by the Charlotte Urban Design Center will take place on Nov. 7, and we need YOU to decide our People's Choice Award winner.

Think about your most-loved places in Charlotte and nominate your favorite for the People’s Choice Award for Great Urban Design!

Nominations close on Friday, Sept. 13.

RULES FOR NOMINATIONS

Please read the category description and provide the name and address of one project you'd like to nominate. 

You must follow these guidelines for the jury to consider your nomination:

• Project must be located within Charlotte city limits.
• Project must have been built after 1999.
• Previous winners are ineligible. (Check category for past award information.)

A building or public place in the city selected by Charlotteans as their choice for great urban design. Urban design encompasses how places look, function and feel. You know great urban design when you see it – those places in Charlotte that are memorable, comfortable and inviting. Charlotte residents – please nominate a building (or buildings) or place within city boundaries that you love! The award winner will be the one with the greatest number of nominations.
