[City of Charlotte] Community Training Pre-Survey

REGISTRATION: City of Charlotte Job & Career Readiness Training

Thank you for your interest in participating in the City of Charlotte Job & Career Readiness Training. This comprehensive training is open to Charlotte youth who will be 16 years of age on or before 4/15/2020.

All trainings will take place at the Solid Waste Services building (1105 Otts St, Charlotte, NC 28205) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided to all participants.

To register for a training, please complete all required information in the form below. The deadilne to register for a training is on or before the Wednesday prior to the training.

PRE-SURVEY - Job & Career Readiness Training

The Job & Career Readiness Training pre-survey is designed to determine what you already know about preparing for a job or career experience. The training will cover a variety of topics. You should complete all questions on your own and to the best of your ability.

1. How familiar are you with composing and creating a resume that makes you look competitive when you are applying for a job?

2. How confident are you in knowing what’s appropriate/not appropriate to wear in the workplace?

3. How knowledgeable are you about the ways that BAM (Body language, Attitude, and Manners) can impact your success on the job?

4. How comfortable are you with using your networking strategies (i.e. working the room, handshakes and eye contact, small talk, etc.)

5. How familiar are you with the difference between organizational culture and personal diversity in the workplace?
